Robert A. "Allen" O'Berry, SFC, U.S. Army (ret), 66, of Homosassa, FL, passed away on Mon., May 15, 2017 at Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center, Crystal River, Florida. A native of Kissimmee, FL, he was born May 23, 1950 to Robert Patterson and Alice Kathryn (Roland) O'Berry, one of two children. Allen, as he was known to everyone, attended Osceola High School in the Kissimmee area and upon completion of his higher education, he served his country honorably and proudly in the United States Army for 20 years, retiring at the rank of Sergeant First...

Robert A. "Allen" O'Berry, SFC, U.S. Army (ret), 66, of Homosassa, FL, passed away on Mon., May 15, 2017 at Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center, Crystal River, Florida. A native of Kissimmee, FL, he was born May 23, 1950 to Robert Patterson and Alice Kathryn (Roland) O'Berry, one of two children. Allen, as he was known to everyone, attended Osceola High School in the Kissimmee area and upon completion of his higher education, he served his country honorably and proudly in the United States Army for 20 years, retiring at the rank of Sergeant First Class. Upon his release from active duty in Hawaii, his final duty station, he moved to Homosassa 21 years ago from Orlando, FL and assumed a position for over 15 years as territorial manager for Johnson Brothers Liquors of Tampa, Florida, with his area of responsibility being Citrus County. Mr. O'Berry was an avid golfer, fisherman and billiards player, with his favorite games being eight ball, nine ball and snooker. Allen was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his loving wife of nearly 31 years, Darlene O'Berry, Homosassa; daughter Alice Shelly O'Berry Jackson, Okeechobee, FL; daughter Stacy Amorette Hutchinson, Ormond Beach, FL; son William Pipes (wife Monica), North Carolina and daughter Amy Lynn Moore (husband Dan), Hernando, FL; brother William E. "Geno" O'Berry (wife Kim), Hernando, FL grandchildren Courtney, Katie, Kayla, Kiersten, June, William and Tyler and great grandchildren Justin, Alyssa and Brantley. Friends will be received on Thursday, May 18, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Wilder Funeral Home, Homosassa, FL, where a chapel service will take place on Friday, May 19, 2017 at 11:30 A.M.
